Illamasqua Theater Of The Nameless Nail Varnishes

As part of Illamasqua’s Fall 2011 collection, Theatre of the Nameless, the brand is introducing 4 new nail varnishes with a new great rubberized finish! I have 3 of them in my hands to show you!

I'll start with Kink, a forest green, kind of muted creme (I just made a rime here writing about nail polish!!). This one was opaque in 3 coats, I noticed that these polishes were a bit thin compared to other Illamasqua polishes, they have an almost jelly finish when they are wet but once dry they have this cool rubberized look!

Next, we have Faux Pas, a purple creme that has a bluish feeling to it! This one was the most pigmented of the three, I used 2 coats! Application was fabulous with this one!

And last but not least, Vice, a raspberry creme that will look good with any every skintone. I find Vice to be a very flattering color and perfect for autumn/winter.

I love Illamasqua even more after they release a new collection because they never fail to surprise me. I now want to smell their new perfume, Freak, what a name for a perfume!

Chanel Riviera + Lippmann Boom Boom Pow

Hi ladies!

Chanel's Riviera is from last years summer collection and it's a great pink. Not too bright and vivid, more of a darker and rich pink, it is great for summer on both hands and feet, I've tried both and I loved it! It has a bit of jelly finish so I used three coats for this swatch, application was great and I had absolutely no problems!

Lippmann Pump Up The Jam

I love me a nice vampy even if spring came here in Greece!

Pump up the Jam is an eggplant shimmer with black base, simply gorgeous! Now if you get dissappointed when a vampy like this looks black indoors Pump Up The Jam is not for you because it really looks like a black most of the times but in the sun you can see its glory! I used two coats here and topcoat, Lippmann polishes wear so good on me, I get four days of great wear without any chips and stuff!

If you have Chanel Strong you don't need this one as they are dupey but if you missed on Strong this is your alternative!

Hope you are doing ok! I will be quick today so on to the pic...

I don't have much to say about this polish! Gorgeous fuchsia from the core line! I used 3 coats here but you can use 2 if you are carefull enough. You can find a lot of dupes of Schiap, that's the truth, one that comes to my mind is Chanel Pulsion which is a one coater and that makes it so much better than Schiap! I like this color for a pedi, what do you think?

Illamasqua Toxic Nature Nail Polishes

I was lucky enough to receive three polishes from Illamasqua Toxic Nature collection to review! Toxic Nature really surprized me because it is a really cool collection and may I say "out of the box", the colors, textures and everything are so cool!

On to the polishes...

First up is Radium, an acid lime green with shimmer, you can definitely call it toxic. It's really unique but not my kind of color, I bet that a lot of you will love it. Application was great as always with Illamasqua, two coats and it's perfect!

Then we have Gamma, bright orange, neon bright! This one I like! Perfect for summer and probably an orange that will look good on most skintones. used three coats here because it was a bit uneven!

Last but not least, Bacterium, this is a strange polish, strange in a good way! Bacterium is an ash ochre duochrome, I don't own and never seen anything like that, it's really unique! I bet this will look amazing with a matte top coat on but I couldn't find mine right now to show you! You need two coats for a full coverage but be carefull with application because as you can see Bacterium is not streak free!

I also bought Purity and I'm gonna show it to you soon!

Korres Nail Polish! They are new and amazing!

Great news today!

Korres Natural Products is releasing some new nail polishes for Spring/Summer! Some of the will be limited edition, I really don't know for sure to confirm but I was amazed by the colors! Now I have to warn that this will be a long post but I couldn't help it!

I don't know if Korres is releasing they nail polish in the US or the worl in genera but they are available here in Greece and I'm a happy person that a greek "natural" company is having such a great range of colors. I'm saying "natural" because I really think there are much more natural companies out there and I'm not a huge fan of Korres skincare but that's another post!

Cool right?? I'm really excited with these! Now I've only tried one nail polish from Korres and it is Pink Coral! The brush was ok and the application too, I needed two coats for complete coverage but I can't tell you about the wear since I only swatched it. Here it is..

I will get some of these when I find them so hopefully I'm gonna test them! Hope you like them.

Dior Bleu Poison

Bleu Poison is a nice dark blue from Dior, I believe this polish is now discontinued because Dior updated their nail polish line with new colors, luckily some stores here still have the old bottles too and I was in the mood for a new polish so I grabbed this! When I saw Bleu Poison in the bottle I thought it would be a jelly and as a matter of fact a streaky jelly..Well it wasn't, I never had a streaky Dior, these polishes are so perfect in terms of application. they apply like a dream, every single one of them! They don't get much love fron the polish fanatics, not like Chanel, but these beauties are waaay better than all the Chanels I own!

So what you see here is just two coats of polish, it is opaque and beautiful but I think it manages to look like a jelly! It also appears to have some secret shimmer particles in it but you can only see them in the bottle!

Lippmann Bring On The Bling

Hi ladies!

Today I'm gonna show you Lippmann Bring On The Bling which is practically a soft and blingy top coat! Bring On The Bling is a clear nail polish infused with virgin diamond powder and it adds a soft sparkle to any color so that you can make it more interesting!

I added this over Ciate Vintage so what you see here is one coat of Vintage and two coats of Bring On The Bling, as you can see this polish is really soft and delicate and since I'm a fan of simple things I like this one!

I really like the combo! What do you think??

On other news I'm planning to add more items on the blogsale page! I don't know what's wrong with me but I actually feel bored of my nail polish collection and same goes with my make up collection, I want to buy some new stuff and refresh my stash!! Yesterday I bought from ebay 2 new Lippmanns for Spring 2011, Glitter In The Air and Naked and some skincare too, Philosophy Help Me and Mario Badescu Whitening Mask! I would love to add some skincare posts on my blog, would you be interested in that?? I was thinking some posts like "what I'm usuing right now" or something similar!! Ok I had to post like NOW...Go to Temptalia and check out what Chanel has created for Fall/Winter 2011! An amazing polish called Graphite, insanely pretty!!!

I was thinking yesterday what other colors I would like to see from Chanel..And I think I want the perfect coral, no coral in Chanel's core line, maybe a jelly banana puddin yellow, a re-release of Jade hmmm don't know what else.. What do you want to see from Chanel???

Mavala - Marron Glace

Hi ladies!

Mavala is a EU brand and you can find it everywhere here in Greece but t never really cought my eye until recently! It sees like they are making some really good color and I bought two already! Today I'm going to show you Marron Glace, a light brown with iridescent shimmer, I can see silver and green. I really like how milky it is and I think it will match great with most skintones. Now based on swatches this can be a close dupe for Rescue Beauty Lounge Decorous nail polish for spring 2011, they look really close, you can check Scrangie's swatches HERE!

Now in terms of application this one was really pigmented and applied perfectly in two coats, the bottle is really tiny thought and it is expensive for the amount of polish you get it costs 5 Euros meaning $7 for only 5ml of polish, no good Mavala. US ladies you can find this in FeelUnique which has Free Worldwide Delivery and it great and trustworthy, I've shopped from there many times and it has many brands like Nubar, Nails Inc, Mavala and more!

So what do you think about Marron Glace? You likey?

Lippmann Happy Birthday with OPI Bubble Bath

Hello!!

Today I wanted to go with somethink sweet and fun! So I experimented with my Happy Birthday! I used two coats of OPI Bubble Bath which I don't love, mine is a bit streaky, with two coats of Happy Birthday on top while on my ring finger I used Bubble Bath in top of Happy Birthday which look absolutely stunning!

On another news I've gone a little crazy with my current collection, it kind of bores me and I've already got rid of many polishes and it seems like I want to get rid of more. The thing is that I want to buy new polishes, there are so many great collections out there and I want them, think of Rescue Beauty Lounge, Illamasqua and many many more, plus I don't like having wayyyy to many polishes because I get confused so I've set a limit of 100 polishes! This is why I'm listing more polishes on my blogsale and I now added make up too, there are all items that don't get a lot of love by me so they need to find a nice and warm home where they will get the love they deserve!

Oh and good news!!! I found the polish I was looking for from Lancome! It is pure love!! And I'm also waitng for two really exciting swaps from MUA, one is Essie Barbuda Banana and the other is RBL Chinoise and Opaque Nude, all three where huge lemmigs of mine for soo long!

Dior Nude Chic

Hello ladies!

Today I did a mani with Dior Nude Chic, this was released a few years back and was discontinued but now Dior has changed the core line of the polishes and it seems that they included this one too, though I'm not sure if it still under the name Nude Chic. I love Dior polishes and this is no exception, I never had an application problem with them and they last great on me, my only complain now is that I'm nota fan of their new brush, I prefer the old one wayyy better, anyway the brush thing will not stop me from buying them that's for sure! On to the pic!

You will need three coats to make it opaque and you want experience any streakiness or dragging! Nude Chic is a true beige but on my skin I think it looks a bit on the peach side, I like it but I think it would be even better if I get a little tanned, it will make a nice contrast!

Rescue Beauty Lounge - Jane

Hello ladies!

Jane is an amazing polish from Rescue Beauty Lounge's Tudors Collection! Jane is a muted neutral grey with hidden almost ivisible gold shimmer, the shimmer is not visible on the nail but I guess it is on the bottle for a reason, maybe it adds depth to the color and makes it something more than a simple pastel grey! I used two coats and tadaaa opaque and smooth, BUT you might need to be careful with application because this is a bit thick and being a light color you might end up with some bold patches!

What do you think? I really like it but them again I'm a huge RBL fan!

Hi ladies!

I updated my blogsale page again, added some new polishes and also reduced the prices of some of the polishes! Go check it out if you are interested! I am in a phase I want to keep only the polishes I really want and wear so this is why I am actually keep adding things for sale. I fid myself looking at my stash and say hmmm you don't need this or this or you will never really wear this so up for sale they go!

Now my NOTD is a really nice hard to find polish from Clarins, Ocean Bleu Abusse 209 that is! I can't really descibe this color but in some lights it looks like a tad dusty blue and in some other it looks like a purple! I wanted this for quite some time and I got it through a swap, it's not that unique but I wanted it in my collection! Application was perfect and 2 coats were enough for complete coverage. Hope you like it :)

Deborah Lippmann - Bad Romance

How are you all? I got this polish in the mail a few days ago and I couldn't wait to post it here! I finally found sometime and here it is...

Bad Romance is from Deborah Lippmann's Fall 2010 collection, named after Gaga's song has a black jelly base with purple glitter and sequins! This is opaque in 3 coats but being to lazy to do a full mani which recquired 3 coats I layered Bar Romance over Illamasqua Boosh so what you see here is one coat of Boosh and I coat of Bad Romance!

I really like this one, it's much more subtle than the rest of Lippmann glitters I own and I can see myself wearing it in the future. I admit I like creams and subtle shimmers more than glitters but this one I likeee! Application saw great and you really don't need much effort to get this sequins on your nails, they just glide on perfectly, removal was pretty easy too, easier than other glitters I've tried.

Lancome-Le Gris L'Wren

Helloooo,

Today I went shopping and I'm so happy with what I found! I bought a pair of lovely ballerinas in black and a Lancoe nail polish from the L'Wren Scott Collection! Le Gris L'Wren is actually a blue with grey tones or it is the opposite??? This is metallic and I usually don't like metalic finishes but with this one things are different! It is really unique, in some lights it looks like a steely grey and in other lights it looks like a metallic blue. I did two coats and I got full coverage but if you are not careful with application you might end up with brushstrokes so you need to be quick with this one! Other than that I think that I don't have anything like it in my collection!

One observation I have to make! Lancome changed their bottles and brushes! This bottle is waaaay smaller that the usual Lancome bottles and it's inly 6ml which is not good because they are still pricey. Now for the brush, I really like the new brush, I think it's smaller and more "hard" so for me and my little nails it is easier to control application! I think that Lancome really need to decide which bottle they like and stick to that because I can bring to my mind at least 5 different bottles of Lancome polishes and I really want some uniformity in my collection!

That being said i love this polish so much in terms of color, application and bottle, the only downside is that it is small! So how do you feel about Le Gris L'Wren? Do you like it?

Nail Rock Wraps Review!

Hello ladies!

I have a great thing to show you today! I received those amazing nail wraps from a UK brand, Nail Rock! They have some amazing patterns and I really like the whole idea of nail wraps!

These are really easy to use, you clean and buff your nails before applying the sticker, you choose the correct size and stick it on your nail, then you apply heat with a hairdryer for the nail wrap to stick well to your nail and you trim the excess sticker with a nail file!If you cannot find a size to fit your nail you can always use a pair of scissors! Have a look...

They look pretty darn good!! And trust me they look better in real life than in these pics!! Also as you can see from the second pic they are not thich at all. Today you see the pony shin white-pink-black pattern and I also have the metallic red but I'll save this for another day! Unfortunately I couldn't make a wear test because I have to remove them since I cannot wear those patterns at work but I will do one during a weekend because I'm really curious about their wear!

On Nail Rock website you will find many more patterns and a how to video which is very helpful and you can also order them! They are also available on ASOS.

Lippmann-All That Jazz Trio for Fall 2010

Hello ladies!!

Mrs Lippmann released another trio of her much loved glitters and it's really good trust me! I think you can only buy this set from Nordstrom for $40 and here is what you will get:

Razzle Dazzle has a jelly raspberry base and pink glitter in it. It took 3 coats to be opaque but the application was amazing and it dried pretty fast too. I have to admit that I'm not thrilled with this one, nothing wrong with the polish, it's just me not loving rhis color on me!

Some Enchanted Evening has a clear base with two kinds of pink glitter, the simple one and sequins!! I decided to wears this on its own and not layered, I did four coats in this picture and you can clearly say that this is not ment to be worn on its own at least by me! It will be great layered over anything, a dark or a pink but I think it would awesome over a purple..I have to try this :)

Lady Sings The Blues is my favourite of the three! Blue with silver glitter and sequins!! This might be a cousin with Essie Starry Starry Nights! This one was really opaque, you will need two coats to make it opaque, I did three because with the flash I could see some bold spots which I couldn't see with my naked eye, so two coats will do the job!

Illamasqua Throb Collection for Valentines Day

Hello everybody!

Well I just checked my emails and when I was this email from Illamasqua with their new collection I was thrilled! Illamsqua is releasing a new mini collection to celebrate St Valentines and I thought that the photos of the collection are so powerful not to post them here!

The Throb Collection consists of three nail varnishes, Throb which is a red, the color of bloos as Illamasqua describes it, Load which appears as a very light creamy yellow and Scorn, a matte black! You will also see a new Intense LipGloss named Succubus and a bloody red lipstick named Sangers.

Aren't the photos beautiful?? Well done Illamasqua!

Deborah Lippmann-Boom Boom Pow

Helloooo!

How are you all today? I'm good, it's raining here in Greece and the weather is moody and of course I want to stay at home with a hot cup of coffee!

Today I'm gonna show you a very precious polish! Boom Boom Pow by Mrs Lippmann is glamorous gold glitter which contains 24K Gold Dust and has the much loved hexagonal glitter along with some gold dust! Now I'm not a sheer kind of girl so I tried this with Illamasqua Boosh as a base and I really like the end result!

Boom Boom Pow will look good on top of most polishes, I will try more combos in the future! In the above photo you can see one coat of Boosh and two coats of Boom Boom Pow!

My Lippmann army and Waking Up In Vegas!

Hello ladies!

Today I want to show you my Lippmann collection! Some of them were bought by me and some I received from the company for review purposes since it is really difficult for me to find them on my own (they are not sold in Greece). I have swatched some of them and I'm planning to swatch them all for you to see how beutiful they are!

I'm not going to tell which is which because you will see them swatched soon!

I couldn't decide which on to post first so I randomly picked Waking Up In Vegas and boy I did good! A gorgeous grey, very light and cool toned with no taupe undertones. The best part? This is one coat people, if you are very careful with application and you have small nails like mine you will probably need one coat too, it is super pigmented! Oh and of course Lady Gaga wears Waking Up In Vegas in her Vanity Fair cover but who of us doensn't know it already??

Lancome Pop Petrol!! And blogsale reminder!

Hello ladies!

Today I 'll show you an EU exclusive and HTF polish from Lancome! Pop Petrol that is.. Pop Petrol is a green-blue polish with shimmer, in some lights you can say it is a deep emerald, either way it is gorgeous. being my first Lancome nail polish I found out that the application is amazing, goes on like butter and is opaque in two easy coats. I have two bottles of this one because I thought I lost the first but eventually my mum took it, I have the second one up for sale at my blogsale page so if you are interested have a look!

Illamasqua Boosh+Harsh

Hello ladies!!

Happy holidays to you all. Guess what the Santa (aka my dad) brought me, yes a new camera! I'm so happy right now because I have many great polishes to show you! I also received another gift from my beloved Illamasqua for Christmas, Boosh and Harsh! I already have Boosh and it is probably the best black on the market, one coat and you have the perfect glossy black mani! I love one-coaters, I simply love them and I'm planning to make a post dedicated to them.

Anyway let's move on to y Christmas manicure, a black Boosh mani with a Harsh finger, have a look...

Boosh is sooo good and so is Harsh, a heavy silver glittery polish which is amazingly pigmented, this is two thick coats here and no visible line, it's like disco on your nails! I like to keep it simple so I only painted one finger and I really like the end result! It's simple with a twist!

On other news I have updated my blogsale page with more polishes so i you're interested take a look there too. I want to sell these because I really need to update my stash with new polishes and I have no money available for nail polish hauls!

Oh and I'm also waiting for my secret swap package for Christmas from another fellow blogger, I hope it arrives soon :)

I'm back from vacation! NOTD is Dior Liquorice!!

Hello you all!

I was on vacation that's why I haven't posted for a while! I was in Germany and I can tell you that it was freaking cold with lots of snow, it was so beautiful and I had some time to relax and enjoy everything. I brought home one Catrice polish and one Lippmann, Waking Up In Vegas that is! Not much of shopping as you can see. I'm in the process of downsizing my stash because I have many polishes little space and so little money, this is why I will update my Blog Sale page with A LOT of polishes, some very interesting ones too, in a couple of days!

Now on to my NOTD, Dior Liquorice is a HTF polish from Dior I found at my Sephora, this is two coats here and it look darker in real life!

I like it but I'm not crazy about it, what do you think? I would also love to hear your thoughts on the new Dior brush, I got a polish from the new polish line and I really can say that I hate the brush, I can't seem to make it work.

Nubar's Diamont New Formula and their CS sucks..

Hello ladies,

I've ordered my holy grail top coat for another time from ebay and guess what? I got the new formula which is really awful, it never dries, like never, my nails feel sticky even after two hours. What the ^%%$6 Nubar? I mean Diamont was the best top coat out there and the only one I have right now. I NEED a fast drying top coat asap!!

Another thing with Nubar is that I have tried to contact them numerous times without getting any response which is at least annoying,

I have soe swatches from OPI's Hong Kong collection for you today, I had these for a long time and totally forgot to post them so here they are..

Jade Is The New Black, 2 coats, a lovely shade of green, it has a dusty feeling which is lovely!!

A Good Mandarin Is Hard To Find, 2 coats, very bright and summery orange! I don't really like oranges on me!

Dim Sum Plum, 2 coats, I don't really know how to describe this color, a pinkish purple maybe? I really like this on me and I think will look good on every season!

I had this idea right now and I thought I should share it with you all! I love me some secret swaps so I decided it would be a great idea to arrange one or two secret swaps with anyone of you who's interested!

My rules are like that, the swap package will cost a minimum of $30, I may spend more or you may spend more, that's really up to us! I think this amount of money is really good because it gives us both the chance to include a high end polish or anything. Not everything has to be new, used nail polish is also welcome.

We will both send our ends in November 30 so they will be on our hands on time for Christmas. Now if you are interested please drop me a line. I don't know how many of you will be interested but I will randomly pick two fellow bloggers who really want to swap!

We can exchange wishlists in case we can help each other kill a lemming plus we can talk about which finishes/brands we like or which we don't like!

Rescue Beauty Lounge - Catherine

Hi all!

What an appropriate name this polish has! Catherine is my name and purple my favourite color so I can see me wearing this polish many many times. Catherine is part of the Rescue Beauty Lounge Fall 2010 line, Real Housewives of The Tudor Dynasty. This collection consists of 4 fabulous colors all named after the wives of Henry VIII, Catherine-Catherine H-Anne-Jane. I only got Catherine but I really wan Anne too, ok and Jane and Catherine H but my first lemming right now is Anne!

Here's the swatch of Catherine...

Catherine is a deep dusty purple with tons of microglitter, I see pink, I see gold and I see teal and there is probably more I can't tell. The microglitter is not that obvious but it adds amazing depth and makes Catherine a very interested purple polish! Two coats were enough for it to be opaque, application was flawless as always with RBL. I used Chanel's Protective Base Coat which I'm using lately and I find it amazing, I get amazing wear, more than any oher basecoats I used in te past!

I'm a proud owner of 23 Rescue Beauty Lounge polishes and I'm so happy about this collection, I didn't take advantage of their 50% sale but I managed to get a polish a really wanted through a swap, Noisette! You'll see that soon!

Hello ladies!

Hope you are feeling great today! I managed to get Paradoxal during its US launch because I wasn't sure that it will be launched here too and I'm really happy because eventually it came here but in limited quantities, like really limited! I also got Jade Rose but it's still untried!

Look at this gorgeous nail polish! This is something between purple, grey and brown with this subtle shimmer I love! Application was smooth and it is opaque in two coats. I've seen some improvement in Chanel polishes lately and I think it is great because thy really have to justify their prices. I've heard that a great dupe for Paradoxal is Barry M Dusky Mauve and here is a great comparison!

I think I will be wearing this a lot this fall/winter!

Today I'm wearig Rescue Beauty Lounge Under The Stars! Under the stars is a blue shimmer, it's more sparkly on the bottle than on the nail but it still looks like a night sky full of stars, what really like about this polish is that it actually looks blue in most lights, it's not another blue-black nail polish. Now in terms of application I don't need to say much, typical RBL, two coats and you get the perfect mani!

Remember that RBL will have a 50% sale on November 1, it's a great chance to get some amazing polishes!

Hello ladies!

Today I'm wearing Illamasqua Muse, a lovely teal! This is lighter than the other teals ( you can check my comparison post HERE) but it is dark enough to be perfect for fall. Application was perfect, creamy and smooth , it is opaque in two coats and my mani lasted 5 days with almost no chipping just the normal tipwear. Illamasqua has some amazing creams and my wishlist is getting too long..

Now I'm not a huge glitter fan but when I saw Lippmann's Happy Birthday I knew I had to have it! I took the conservative way and topped Muse with two coats of Happy Birthday on one nail only and I really like the end result! I'm thinking that Happy Birthday will also look lovely with a neutral polish underneath or black. Next time I'm wearing it I will do a full mani with it!

Rescue Beauty Lounge Orbis Non Sufficit and Blog Sale news!

Hey lovelies!

How are you all today? I'm sick with a silly flu and I feel like I'm drunk or something! Before writing about my NOTD and my other news I wanted to let you know that I will create another blog only for my blogsale and I will add some more goodies there!! I will let you know about it when it will be ready, I will add accessories, make up and nail polish and it will be active all the time and updated when I have stuff I don't need anymore!

Now I'm waiting for some really cool polishes in the mail. Two of them are from Les Khakis De Chanel, Vert and Brun that is, I wanted Rose too but it was too much for my wallet. Of course these will not be released here and I have to thank a lady from MUA for getting these for me!

I really can't understand how Chanel jumped from the boring every-time-the-same polishes to all those crazy colors, I also can't understand why all the amazing colors are limited edition, I mean I have so many Chanel lemmings, The Russian Collection, Haute Chocolat, Jade just to name a few and it is impossible to find them without paying the crazy ebay prices some people sell them for. Buying at ebay's LE HTF crazy prices is a big no for me and will never never change my mind!

Now on to my NOTD, Rescue Beauty Lounge Orbis Non Sufficit is a lovely shade of green, deep and dusty, I think this is my favourite of greens along with Bb Couture Green Goblin! This was two coats, perfect application and it was almost a one coater! I've heard that Rescue Beuaty Lounge is having a sale in November(50%off), probably their last one so be prepared for this!

***I need help here...Why is this pic upside down and how can I make it right???

Application on all four is amazing, two easy coats and you get a fully opaque and smooth mani! Blue India is the most greyed out teal of all, dusty and lighter than Teal and Superficial. Now Superficial and RBL Teal are really close, I'd say that Superficial is more "green" while Teal is more "blue". Last but not least, Muse s the lighter shade of all, it has definitely more "blue" in it.

I am a teal lover and I really appreciate all four shades but if I had to choose one I'd choose Ciate's Superficial, in my point of view is a true teal.

Now my next post probably on Monday will be a blog sale so make sure to visit! Will have some Hard To Find polishes too!

Illamasqua~The Art Of Darkness Nail Polish Review

I'm so happy today because I received a package I wasn't expecting at all! It was an amazing surprise and I 'm so very excited to present you all the two new Illamasqua Nail Varnishes from their Art Of Darkness Collection, Scarab and Viridian.

First of all I must say that I really like the idea and concept of Illamasqua, every new collection is better than the previous one and the quality of their polishes is amazing. I haven't tried their make up range except one liquid metal and I really want to someday but their polishes are pure love!

Anyway on to the swatches, i tried my best because Scarab and Viridian are metallic polishes and I find it hard to take accurate photos of metallic polishes.

First up is Scarab, a deep metallic burgundy red. Application was typicall Illamasqua, this is two coats on my pic, Scarab was really pigmented, almost a one-coater. The color is perfect for fall, I don't know if it is dupable or not but I don't own anything like this. I think it's very dramatic.

And then we have Viridian, now with this one I could't capture it, its stange, Illamasqua says this is a deep metallic green but I think it's more than that! It flashes blue and that's what my camera thinks too... Have in mind that in real life this is more green than blue. Viridian is really sparkly especially when light hits it, again application was perfect in just two easy coats. What I noticed is that both of them dryed quickly.

Hello ladies!

Finally I'm back! I had a great time during summer and I've been to some amazing places! Now I'm back to work and on scedule to do many many things!

When I came back I had a great surprise waiting for me! I've been on the Top 50 Nail Blogs on Spa Beauty Schools along with some other fabulous blogs! At first I couldn't believe it, when I started this blog it was just for my very own personal pleasure and I never thought there could be so many people reading and here I am in the Top 50! Thanks to all of you for your support and for visiting my little blog.

Now I know I don't update soon and that is because I have a full of work and studying day so I apologize for that! I will try to post more often :)

Now my nail of the day is another RBL! This time is Diddy Mow from Ji's summer collection! Such an amazing color, grey green with subte hidden shimmer.. Have I told you how much I love this type of shimmer, it gives so much depth and can make most colors interesting. I think it's not necessary to write about the quality of ths polish, it's perfection!

Another interesting information is that Sew Psyched from Essie's Fall Collection is a dupe of Diddy Mow which is good for those who don't want to spend money on RBL.

I wanted to show you today my new sandals, I got them from an amazing ebay seller (mattij5791). These are from a brand named Modern Vintage which has apparently some gorgeous shoes. I got two pairs Fatima and Fabrizia.. Have a look...

I really can't tel which one I love most but I'm super excited about these!

Now on to my NOTD.. The last few days I got many many polishes mainly from swaps, some of them are RBL Sweet Sixteen, Square Pants, Plie, Chanel Paradoxal and Riviera, ancome Pop Petrol and some other you will see in the near future. Yesterday when I had to make a pedi and a mani to be ready for my vac I was relly confused on which to try.

After long thoughts I decided to put RBL Coral on for my pedi and Plie for my mani.Plie is the perfect ballerina pink, a little muted and perfectly opaque in two coats is my perfect clean and elegant mani. I think I need a back up of this one cause I can see myself wearing this again and again.

My nails are peely lately so I had to cut them down to nubbins..

I'm a huge fan of Rescue Beauty Lounge, honestly, I think Ji Baek is doing an amazing job with these. When I got my first one I loved it so much I now have 19 and I want more!

Lippmann Supermodel and Between The Sheets

Hello girls!

I have swatched these a long time now and I didn't have time to post them! These are from Deborah Lippmann's Summer Collection.

First one is Between the Sheets, a deep fuchsia which leans to purple, applied seriously perfect in two coats. This will be great for a pedi, I have to try this. I bet this color will look good on most skin tones!

The second one is Supermodel which was created with Dree Hemingway, it's a sheer orangey red. The photo you see here is four coats and I can still see my nail line which in real life is more obvious than the pic, this is meant to be sheer so don't try to make it opaque because it won't happen. I really like it on me and I don't mind that kind of sheer polishes on short nails, those four coats were too easy to be made, the polish almost applied by itself. I was amazed with the quality of this polish as sheers are known to be streaky most of the times.

From the very few Lippmann polishes I've tried I can tell you that I love their formula and their brushes, I never had a problem with them even with the sheer ones, they all have amazing application.

My only problem is that I can't order them from anywhere and it's really hard for me to get them!

Ciate Nail Varnish Review

Hello ladies!

Today I bring you some a couple of Ciate nail polishes! I received four amazing polishes from Ciate to review and I'm really excited cause I really like this brand! I have another two to review so stay tuned!

The first one is Stiletto, amazing green it reminded me BB Couture Poison Ivy except the fact that this one is a bit on the jelly side which I love! I needed 3 coats for complete covarage but application was so easy I didn't mind, isn't it lovely? Wait to see Power Dressing on my next review, dark blue jelly goodness!

The second polish I got is Lemon Sherbert, this one is the twin sister of Nubar Yellow Sorbet, same color,same application. You can get away woth two coats if you are careful enough but it is possible that you might need three to make it even, as most yellow pastels this one is a bit streaky but not extremely hard to work with.m I like this color but I think there are too many yellow pastels in the market, I now need a pale jelly yellow like Essie Barbuda Banana, bring that back Essie!

Speaking of Barbuda Banana, I'm in desperate need of that polish and really can't find it anywhere. I was wondering why Essie and other companies don't bring back some discontinued colors when they are so popular? Nars made it true with Zulu, it will back in November I think, so maybe it is time that other companies do that too!

Another thing is that I have many many things like nail polish and make up I want to get rid of cause I'm moving in September, and I think I will have an updated blogsale in the next few days so please remember to visit my blog and take a look!

Illamasqua The Pastels

Hello ladies!

I had the great pleasure to receive two polishes from Illamasqua to review! When I got my package I was so excited because I realized I got two polishes from the Illamasqua Pastels Collection, Caress and Wink! Boy oh boy I'm in love with Illamasqua nail polishes and I now want more and more of them... Have you seen their upcoming nail polish collection with three colors created by fellow bloggers? If not check them out HERE because Raindrops and Eclipse look hot!

Anyways, lets move on to the first of the two polishes I got! Caress is a baby blue np polish and I was really surprised that this looked really good with my skin. Application is amazing and have in mind that pastels are known to be streaky, opaque in two easy coats I had no problem at all with this beauty. If you are a pastel lover you should try Illamasqua pastels, the quality is superb!

The second one is Wink, I so love this color, it's a soft yet bright lavender. Application is again perfect, some blank spots you can see on my pic is all my fault, I was in a rush while swatching this! Opaque in two coats, I can see myself wearing this color again and again!

This collection has two more colors Blow and Nugde. I was amazed with the quality of those, I really wasn't expecting them to be that good but I guess I was wrong!!

China Glaze - Poolside Collection(just two of them)

It;s been a while since I've posted here and I'm sorry about it but life has been really hectic the last month with my job and my final exams etc. Anyway here I am now and I have tons of things to show you!

Today I have two China Glaze polishes for you! I received those two from China Glaze to write a little review about them. Both are from the Poolside Collection which consists of six neon polishes.

I have to warn you that these were two little bastards to apply and to photograph so my photos are not that good but you'll get the idea!

First up is Yellow Polka Dot Bikini, this is a neon yellow the type your highlighter is. This is four freaking coats and the end result is not that satisfying to my eyes, it's a tad streaky but from what I've heard these neons from the Poolside Collection are way better that any other neons on the market on terms of application and opacity. Also this is waaay brighter in real life and no matter how much I like to draw attention with my nails, I can't handle too much attention!!

For the record Katy Perry rocked this polish on MTV awards and it was fabulous on her!

On to the pics, first one without topcoat(as most neons it dries a little matte), second one with topcoat!

On to the second polish which is no other than Sun Worshiper! This is a very glowy neon orange, I need four coats with this one too and I can tell you one thing, I have little patience with polishes which need four coats and this is the main reason for my poor clean-up! This looks good but again it is too eye catching for my tastes!

All in all I liked those two but I'm not sure I can paint my nails that bright and leave the house :)

Mac-Blue India

Hello girls!!

Mac Blue India was part of the Liberty Of London collection by Mac...Such an amazing and unique nail polish. Blue India is a dusty moody blue-grey, really hard to describe and even harder to capture its true beauty. Also I have to say that this is the best Mac polish I own when it comes to quality, Blue India can be compared with Rescue Beauty Lounge or Illamasqua, it is creamy pigmented and goes on perfectly with two easy coats. As you can tell I am in love with this polish!

Oh and did I mention the packaging???I bet you know this already, Liberty Of London was one of the best Mac collections when it comes to packaging.

Ciate-Superficial and their Customer Service

How are you all??

Today I'm bringing you a nail polish from Ciate, Superficial is the best teal ever! It's perfect and I have no words to describe it except that it is a real teal!!I'm surprised with Ciate's quality, this polish went on perfect and it was an almost a one coater, very pigmented and rich with a very good brush. What really sucks though is their Customer Service, I have tried to contact them numerous times in the past when I wanted to order some of these and I never got a response, have I told you how much I hate crappy CS??? I really do hate it and I find it quite insulting when nobody answers my 5 or 6 mails...

Anyways, on to the pic.. This is two coats with topcoat isn't it fabulous? I'm preparing some comparison pics with the teals I own including Illamasqua's Muse, Rescue Beauty Lounge Teal, Mac Give me Liberty and Superficial so stay tuned if you're interested!!

Great news for US girls!! The gorgeous mint Damone Roberts created with OPI is back and you can get it at Damone Roberts salons, if you happen to have one near you let me know because I'm dying to get my hands on one of these!!

On other words, the weather is great here and I decided to do a spring appropriate mani, so I used Maybelline Minty which I received on a swap! Great color but application honestly sucks, I've never used a polish like that before so streaky and goopy and hard to control...Anyway somehow I made it work and the final result looks like that....

This is 3 coats with top coat and base coat!

I love swapping and now that I started a new job unfortunately I can't swap anymore because here the post office is open only in the morning when I'm at work! The worst thing is that I have tons of polishes I want to get rid of. Anyway this job will be over in 6 months, it's like practise for my university so I'll be back in swapping!!

Here is only a few of the polishes I got from my swaptastic month: Essie-Angora Cardi and Ruby Red Slippers, Lippmann-Sarah Smile, Rescue Beauty Lounge-Lulu,Under The Stars and Recycle!! I can't tell you how much I love every single one of them. I became obsessed with Rescue Beauty Lounge and I try to get as much as I can, I now wait for Dead Calm and Om in the mail..

Now on to my NOTD, for the first time in this blog I present you a nail polish from a greek brand. Erre Due is a make up brand very well know in Greece. They have a great selection of nail polishes and on their spring/summer collection I've found some very very interesting colours, I didn't want to buy a lot and I decided to pick one, a lovely yellow! Erre Due doesn't have names on their products but number which I don't like but never mind. Application with this one was a bit difficult like with all yellows but in 3 coats it was perfect! The only thing is that they are a bit pricey, it's like $8 a bottle, but they do have many colours which worth it!

The sad story of OPI La Boheme with pics!

Hello ladies,

A month ago I was lucky enough to find La Boheme on NBMarketplace for only 9$ and of course I bought, sadly when this beauty came home it was broken in two besides the fact it was bubble wrapped and all. I wonder what happened on the journey..Anyways I was so sad because it was the first polish ever to receive broken and I still wonder why it had to be La Boheme...I managed to save some in the craziness of the moment I opened the envelope because I couldn't handle it not to at least have one mani with the beautiful La Boheme! I was ready to buy it on ebay for $27 but I thought twice and didn't let myself do it!

Here are the pics of La Boheme, gorgeous amazing beautiful and maybe slightly unique but I don't think it worths $27 for that matter.

This was two coats and being an old formula it applied perfectly!

Recent haul and NOTD Nicole By OPI Hint of mint + Gone Wishin'

Hello ladies!

The mailman brought me today some really exciting packages, mostly swaps including some Rescue Beauty Lounge, which I'll show you later! For now I wanted to show you my recent haul, have a look!

OPI-Mad As Hatter, OPI- Affain In Times Square, Chanel-Magnolia Rose, Dior-Nude Chic, Dior- and finally a nail polish from a greek make up company, it doesn't have a name only a number! I love every single one of them, swatches are to be posted soon.

I'm really excited I found this bottle of Affair in Times Square on ebay for a reasonable price, it is discontinued and really hard to find.

Now on to my NOTD, Nicole By OPI Hint of mint which I received in a great swap with Mary from Body and Soul. Hint of Mint is a light mint with shimmer, it a bit sheer and it took me 3 coats to make it opaque. I then added some coats of Gone Wishin from Nicole By OPI and tried to make a gradient mani with it, it looks kind of cool, enjoys the pics!

3 China Glaze polishes for welcoming Spring!

Hello ladies!

It's a wonderful day here sunny and hot so I thought it's about time I post these China Glaze swatches, Atelier Tulle, Sneakerhead and Make an Entrance are my favourite shades for spring/summer!

Sneakerhead is a creamy cherry red, bright and beautiful, part of the Kicks collection! Application was perfect and it is opaque in two coats, I love this color for a pedi!

Next is Atellier Tulle, part of the Immaterial Gurl collection! I can't describe this color well enough, it's orange it's coral it's a little muted. Again application was great and it is opaque in two coats, if you consider that my bottle is half empty you can be sure I love this color!

Last but not least, Make An Entrance, this is a little darker than your average barbie pink, bright and girlie, again opaque in two coats!

My only complain about China Glaze polishes is that they don't dry as fast as other polishes on me, but I guess that is my fault since it only happens to me, maybe it's my body chemistry or something!

Hello ladies!

Ji is the best I have to tell you, she cares about her fans and customers and she's bringing back No More War, Opaque Nude and Scrangie! I love her for hearing what her customers need and I love her for speaking with her fans on Facebook! Great polish, lovely girl, amazing customer service and support is enough for me to justify the high price of the polishes... Do you hear that Mrs Lippman??? I hope you do because I really like your polishes too but....

Some other great news came from Nars, I read somewhere that they bring back ZULU!! Oh yes zulu will be back sometime in the winter!

Anyway, what discontinued colours do you wish your favourite brands will bring back?? I'm thinking an OPI collection with La Boheme, Vampire State Building, Affair in times square, Rainforest, Creme De Menthe and Jasper Jade and maybe an Essie collection with Starry Starry Nights, Ruby Red Slippers, Barbuda Banana and some other great colours Essie has released in the past! What do you think?

Nars - Jungle Red

Hello ladies!

Nars Jungle Red is a polish I was lemming for a long time and I finally got it in a swap! This polish has a little history behind it, it was released by Nars to celebrate the remake of the movie The Women in which a true blood red nail polish named Jungle red has its own part and meaning to the movie, the remake was not that good but the original movie was really great!

As I already told you Jungle Red is a jelly blood red, it was my first Nars polish and I really like it, the only thing is that it takes forever to dry on me, I don't know why! I like the brush unlike some other girls who find it small and it was really easy to work with, it applied evenly and it took two coats to be opaque. My pics are not the best, I find it really hard to take photos of red pinks etc, but it's pretty close- maybe a little darker in real life.

All in all I really like my Jungle Red!

OPI Sheer Your Toys

Hello my lovely readers!

Today I bring you OPI Sheer Your Toys which was part of the Holiday 2008 Collection Holiday In Toyland. Sheer Your Toys is not sheer at all, it's a grey with silver shimmer and red flakes. It is opaque in two coats but I did three because I was sure it would be way better! I'm convinced that this polish will look great on darker skintones though. Here is how it looks on me...

Since OPI You're A Doll from the same collection has exactly the same shimmer with those red particles which make both polishes really unique I though I should repost my swatch of it so here it is!

Rescue Beauty Lounge No More War

Hello my dear readers!

Today I bring you No More War from Rescue Beauty Lounge, which is unfortunately a discontinued color and I'm so glad I picked it at the RBL sale!

No More War is an olive green, opaque in two coats and yes it has the quality of a RBL polish which is perfect to my point of view. Before that I owned Illamasqua Hectic which i swapped without taking pics of it(sorry :)) because it was awful on me, yes they look similar but Hectic is a bit more yellow and more light comparing to No More War which is darker and more brown.

First pic is with flash, second is with no flash!

I really like this color on me, it looks edgy and classy at the same time, truth is that my pics are not color accurate it is a bit darker in real life but my camera has a problem capturing some colors like this one, teals and reds-pinks, photos are never accurate.

I have some great news too, Ji from RBL reduced international shipping, it is $18,50 now and on international orders over $200 shipping is free, lots of money for nail polish but you can always make an order with a friend :)

I seriously believe that something is wrong with Chanel lately, a mint, a taupe and now a light aqua blue???Totally unexpected and such a bad thing for our wallets! Nouvelle Vague looks great but I really like Riviera too, Mistral not so much but hey nobody's perfect!

OPI-Siberian Nights

Hello ladies!

Siberian Nights is my first OPI polish! This polish is from the Russian Collection which had a lot of wonderful polishes, Catherine The Grape, Russian Navy, Midnight in Moscow just to name a few.

Siberian Nights is a dark vampy purple, for me it's a basic colour nothing amazing about it but it's classy and beautiful. It looks almost black in most lights and it took me two coats to be opaque. Did I mention that it is extremely glossy???Oh yes it is!! Take a look...

On some other news, I'm waiting for ten packages in the mail right now, some orders some swaps from mua and a swap package from a fellow blogger and I can tell you that every morning when I wake up I run to the door to see if anything arrived!! I just can't wait!!

Hello ladies!

I've been really busy lately and I have so many things to do I don't even now where to begin. I have a lots of things to show you and I'm waiting for some great polishes in the mail so stay tuned!!

Two packages came in the mail today and the one was this....

Ciate!!!I've been lemming these for so long and I'm so glad I bought them finally. I got Superficial, Cookies 'n Cream and Vintage. Swatches and comparisons will be posted soon!

The other package was Illamasqua, no pics yet but I got Boosh, Muse and Loella!

Now on to my NOTD!Essie Chinchilly is from Essie Fall 09 Collection Cuddle with Color. Chinchilly is a soft grey, a bit different form other greys I own, according to Scrangie's review it has a bit of green in it so I wouldn't call it a true grey, it's more warm toned I think. It took me 3 coats to be opaque but the polish applied perfectly and didn't cause me any trouble at all.

Hello ladies!

It's been a while since I've posted but I'm right here! I had exams going on and now that I finishes I feel way better! Being all better I decided to place an order on Transdesign mainly to kill my lemming for OPI Mad as Hatter and to get some other things I needed too, to my disappointment Mad as Hatter is out of stock so I didn't make the order, I haven't found any on ebay either so if anyone has access to this and would like to arrange a swap with me please let me know because I reaaaally want it!!

And now my mani for the day! Zoya Dovima is from Zoya Matte Velvet collection. Dovima is black with silver shimmer. Totally gorgeous and opaque in two coats. I applied one coat of Essie Matte About You on my pinkie to see if it affects the colour and as you can see on the pic below it totally does, it takes away all the sparkle of the polish and makes it dull and boring.

Then I applied a top coat and this polish is gorgeous no matter what!

By the way in a month or so I'm starting a job on a company with natural cosmetics so you'll see me posting some work appropriate colors too!

Hello ladies!

Particuliere just arrived in Greece and I had to have it since I'm a sucker for taupes!! I have to admit that if this colour was released like a year ago it would be a big hit but now with all these taupes on the market I can't find a reason why to give like $25 on a polish except of course you are a collector.

One little fact about me that you don't know is that I'm a little bit picky when it comes to nail polish, I'm trying hard to keep my stash small and everything I don't like or I don't use or I don't find unique and extraordinary goes away from my stash!

Now on to the polish, Particuliere is beautiful, milky brown(pretty much like milk chocolate), cooler that other taupes I have and lighter too!It is dark enough to be ok for spring and not to remind you fall and winter like You Don't Know Jacques does. Also I am surprised to say that application was PERFECT, I mean it was like I was painting my nails with Rescue Beauty Lounge or something, the polish was creamy and went on like velvet, opaque in almost one coat, you will need two coats though to achieve perfection. Well done Chanel, this is what all of your polishes should be like to at east justify their high price. Take a lookie...

All in all I'm glad I got this, it is a keeper in my collection.

Taupe and Mauve comparison swatches

Hello ladies!

I know you all love comparison swatches so here I have a couple for you! First up is my taupe mushroomy comparison. Take a look.

Again with this photo I couldn't make it turn around so please accept my apologies on this!

Can you see that You don't know Jacques is half empty??This is the first polish I own that is half empty, my mother absolutely loves this colour <3

All colours are two coats! I thought that OPI YDKJ and Metro Chic were dupes but they're not, Metro Chic has more purple in it while YDKJ is definitely more brown. I had the same thought about the other two, TMF and CCK and those looked pretty similar in the bottle but on the nail they're totally different. Tickle my France-y could be my Mannequin hands colour, it's pretty close to my skintone!

Now on to the other colour range, I find it hard to describe those colour so I'l just call them mauve!On to the photos...

All these colours looked pretty close to me in the bottle, not dupes but very close for sure!They're not close at all if fact they're very different as you can see. Metro Chic and Pharaoh's Purple are two coats, Island Hopping and Twilight Kiss are tree coats! I used Metro Chic on this comparison too because it has some purple in it.

Rescue Beauty Lounge haul and Mismas (and a possible blog sale)

I was planning this post for a long time now! Rescue Beauty Lounge polishes were a huge lemming of mine for a long time and thanks to a wonderful lady and their sale I finally have them! Thank you Janice <3

I bought five, Orbis no sufficit, No more war, Teal, Mismas and Stormy and I want some more(have you seen their collection of three polishes for spring 2010)!

I couldn't decide if I should get Mismas or not because I've heard that this is a close dupe to China Glaze Grape Pop so I let my blog friend decide which would be the fifth polish and thank god she got Mismas because this polish is gorgeous, limited edition and ONE COATER...

Mismas was one of the three polishes of the Rescue Beauty Lounge Bloggers collection, created by All Lacquered Up. It is a deep purple cream, which looks purple in all lights and applies perfectly in one coat, this I couldn't believe!

The RBL reputation of perfect application is true but I'm not a big fan of their brush which was not a big problem because the polish itself was so perfect I didn't need any special skills to apply it!All in all I'm very happy with this!

Last but not least I'm thinking of having a blog sale with make up and nail polish I don't use or need anymore!Anyone interested?

Finger Paints - Icy Iris

Hello ladies,

Today I present you this gorgeous shade of purple! Icy Iris was sent to me by the lovely fellow blogger Judy and I'm still so thankful of her because she sent me some amazing colours! Icy Iris was a part of Finger Paints Winter/Holiday collection 2009. I believe Finger Paints are only available at Sally Beauty in the US, correct me if I'm wrong! I wish they were available in EU too because they do have some amazing shades like Evergreen Dream(if you like greens go get it, from what I've seen it's pretty amazing).

On to the polish, this is a dark rich purple with tons of shimmer in different colours. I've also read that this is a dupe to OPI Visions of Sugarplum which was an ULTA exclusive (well as you can see I may not have all the polishes I'm talking about but I read a lot so I'm giving you all the informations I have :-)

I don't have much to say about this except that it is gorgeous, it applied perfect and the wear was very good too!

Nubar-Lemon Sorbet and yellow comparison

Hello dear readers!

Every new collection has a yellow for spring, Orly, China Glaze, Illamasqua so today I thought I should show you Nubar Lemon Sorbet, a very beautiful pale yellow. This is from the Nubar Pastel Fever Collection fom Spring 2009. I'm really into yellows lately and this is no exception, I used 3 coats to make it even because my bottle was a bit on the thich side but next time I will use my thinner for sure!

(I thought this was horizontal when editing but when I upload it wasn't :) and I have no idea how to turn it around when uploaded)
Here is my comparison with the other yellows I own!

Banana Puddin is my absolute favourite of all, a yellow jelly goodness, it looks so good especially when I'm a bit tanned, I simply love this...but unfortunately Banana Puddin is a hard to find it and I 've never seen a polish close to this one :( This is 3 coats here, perfection!

Banana Bandana is darker and more yellow than the other two but I like it too!It has that almost invisible shimmer that OPI is famous for and it applies nice in 3 coats!

Chanel-Gold Fiction

Gold Fiction is a polish Chanel released for Fall 2008 and I was lucky to find it a couple of months ago at my local Sephora!Obviously greek women don't buy those polishes so it is possible for me to find polishes like Gold Fiction or Dior's Golden Nugget even if they are discontinued now!

Anyways, I've read that Gold Fiction is one of the most true golds on the market and this is probably the truth. It's a bright pure yellow gold. It is opaque in 3 coats and has a metallic finish without heavy brushstrokes!This is how it looks on me!

I'm not a big fan of golds so I don't love this one, I could wear something like Lippman Nefertiti or Believe but this is too yellow for my taste!

I have this available for swap so if you're interested you can email me, I would love to swap this for a polish I can't get in my country like Lippman or RBL!

Illamasqua Milf and comparison swatch

Milf is a new addition to my collection, I previously owned Illamasqua Hectic which looked terrible on me so I swapped it for Milf and I will never regret that!! So Milf is my one and only Illamasqua and probably the only one I haven't heard amazing things about application but I really don't mind!

This is 2 coats here, it was a bit streaky because it is very pigmented but if you are careful when you apply it you won't have any problems!Here is a real mint!

And here it is how Milf is compared to Mint Candy Apple, they obviously have nothing in common. Mint Candy Apple has blue in i twhile Milf is certainly greener.

Of course I like Milf way better than MCA and if itj was a bit jelly I would fall in love with it!

I filed my nails a little bit more rounded and I ttink I like them better that way, what do you?

Hello!

I love it when Essie releases those totally unexpected shades, this year I loved all the collections Essie released and I was expecting something great for Spring 2010, when I was the promo pics I have to admit I felt a bit disappointed. Essie please bring back Barbuda Banana, Ruby Slippers, Starry Nights and I can assure you we will all buy them!

Anyways Mint Candy Apple is from Essie's winter 2009 collection! A very unique blueish mint, opaque in two thick and carefully applied coats, the polish is a little bit on the thick side and it was a streaky mess at first, magically when I put the top coat on and it dried all the streaks disappeared and it became what you see on my pic!

Mint Candy Apple was not what I expected, it's not a real mint and it is a bit chalky but it's definitely a unique colour and I want it in my collection!

I have tons of swathces ready to be posted so stay tuned!!
Oh and my Rescue Beauty Lounge polishes are finally here!!! :)

Hello everyone!!

Happy New Year ladies, I wish you all the best for 2010 with lots of love and happiness and everything you wish for! Sorry for not posting these days but I had no time in my hands then I was on vacation for a week and I came back yesterday.

I've bought some great things during holidays including some Lush products I wanted for some time, a Mac pro 15 palette with 8 eyeshadows(I now need another 7 to fill the palette), some lipsticks and a lipgloss(I'll post photos of them soon) and of course nail polish which I'm waiting patiently to be delivered to me!
I have managed to kill most of my lemmings(like RBL!!!) except two Lippman polishes (Happy Birthday and Ruby Red Slippers), any place I can order them that ships internationally?I can't seem to find one!

Now on to my NOTD, Essie Damsel In A Dress is a reddish purple with lots of silver shimmer, a nice vampy colour great for winter. I have to admit I don't love this colour and the funny part is I can't figure out why, it's nice and all but I just don't love it! I used three coats and as you can see there are some visible brushstrokes on some nails.

I thought this would be intersting with a top of Matte About You and I was right, check it out!

So what do you think?Isn't it gorgeous matte???

Sephora By OPI-Metro Chic

Metro Chic is certainly old news for most of you but I just got it and I'm so excited with this colour! This is the most wanted shade from the whole colour selection of Sephora by OPI and I don't blame you guys, it is a beautiful colour that's for sure!

Metro Chic is a smokey taupe with a hint of dusty purple in it, edgy and fashion forward without being eye catching and perfect in all lightings!Enjoy..

This is a close to You Don't Know Jacques but a bit lighter and not as brown. Metro Chic needed three coats to be perfect and I found the wear amazing, even though I didn't expect much it turned out that it lasted more than my OPI polishes will ever do!

Thank you all for being so kind and offered to help me with the RBL sale, there is a lot of kindness going on between nail bloggers and that is such a great thing! When I started this blog I could never imagine I would experience all this kindness!

Another thank you goes to all those people who are following my blog, I just realized that I have a little more than 100 followers, I could never imagine that either so I owe a big hug to all of you. I wanted to make a givaway for a long time now but I couldn't find the time to organize it, I'm working on it and I think I'll do it on January, I also need to think about the prizes and I'm open to suggestions!

Now on to the polish of the day...Beyond Jealous is from the MAC Nail Trend Collection created by Jin Soon for Fall! This collection had 6 great colours from which I only got Beyond Jealous. I regret buying only this one but the moment I bought this I wasn't really in the mood for shopping, now I see Dry Martini and I wish I had that one too..Beyond Jealous is a blackened blue green, very similar(if not dupes) with Sephora By OPI Dark Room from what I hear. Lovely colour but again with this I wish it was a bit lighter, it would be gorgeous. Take a look!

Application was great with this, I used two coats and it was perfect BUT I was not impressed with the wear, I used ORLY Nail Armor and Seche Vite and I had little tip wear the same day.I will use my Nubar Foundation/Diamond to see if I have better results!

OPI-Suzi Skis in the Pureness/Merry Midnight

Ok I have to warn you that this pic was taken on day 2 so there is a little tip wear for you to see! This colour is from OPI's Spain Collection for Fall 2009 and is the only colour I wanted from the entire collection, the other interesting colour was Here Today Aragon Tomorrow.

Suzi Skis in the Pureness is a smokey blue which looks black all the time except when being phographed! If this was a bit lighter it would probably be my favourite colour of all times and I would forgive all the application problems I had with it. I needed 3 coats to achieve complete coverage, the first coat was like I painted my nails with watercolour, the second made things a little better but I had a lot of dragging and the third was absolutely essential for the mani to be decent!

And because this mani was a bit boring I put a coat of Merry Midnight on top and I loved it immediately!

If you don't have Merry Midnight, get it asap because I bet that this will be a HTF polish in a couple of years!

China Glaze Flying Dragon meets Jesse's Girl on a great combo!!

Hello everyone!

Flying Dragon is an almost neon purple with blue and purple glitter, it dries matte and it needs 3 coats for complete coverage (I did two here but I obviously needed a third one), this a great colour and quite unique I must say, it would be great for a summery pedi as well!

The moment I saw the polishes Judy sent me on our swap I knew that Jesse's Girl Confetti would be a great match for Flying Dragon, it's almost like they're ment to be together..Have a look!

Flying Dragon has blue and purple glitter and Confetti has blue and purple bar glitter, what more can a girl ask???What do you think aren't they great together?

Nubar-Pharaoh's Purple

Hello ladies!

This is the first Nubar polish I've tried, I got this in a swap and I'm so happy I own this colour! Pharaoh Purple is from the Cleopatra Collection and is a muted purple, a bit more greyed out than OPI Parlez vous OPI? is! Enjoy..

You all know how much I love colours like this so no need to say more. This is two coats, it applied great and my first impression with Nubar is pretty good! I will try Foundation and Diamont today I hope I'll love them because I have high expectations from what I've read about them!

Dior amazed me this year I must say, first was Lemon Balm and then this lovely shade! Silver Purple is both silver and purple with tons of shimmer which makes it almost metallic! Lovely colour but I bet Lemon Balm is even more fabulous, unfortunately not available in Greece!Take a look....

Anyways Silver Purple is two coats here and you should enlarge to see how beautiful it is!It applies great and the wear is great too, I had a little tipwear on day 3 and since this is my third Dior polish I'm absolutelly certain that I don't love their brush!

Now look what I found, Chanel Gold Fiction!A limited edition hard to find polish-I found it on stand with discounted products on Sephora! I'm telling you greek women don't appreciate nail polish that's why I can always find every polish I want from high end brands like Chanel! I bet if Chanel's Jade was released here I could find one for each one of you! Swatches to be posted soon!

Hard Candy-Frenzy

This is one of the polishes Judy sent me and my first Hard Candy!I should warn you though that my pic of this colour is not accurate at all!

Hard Candy polishes and cosmetics are available at Walmart's only I believe, after years of absence they've made a comeback this year, so US girls are very lucky!

Frenzy looks like a sky blue in my pic but there is a hint of green in it which I couldn't capture with my camera, I had a little trouble photographing this one so my pic is a little blurry!

Application was great, the polish went on even and is perfect with two coats.

CND-Muddy Rose

I saw this polish on All Lacquered Up where Michelle saw this polish on Carolina Herrera backstage. The moment I saw it I knew I had to have it and I've ordered it with my previous Transdesign order! Muddy Rose is what the name suggests, a muddy cream rose. This is from the new CND collection Colour Effects and also my first CND polish ever and so far I love everything about it! Application rocks, it is opaque in one coat but you'll need a second one to even it out, the brush is great too and the polish applied like velvet! the wear was pretty good too I had it for three days with no chip but then I changed my mani because I had so many polishes to try lol!!!Enjoy...I really like the colour perfect for fall.

Hi ladies!!

This one is a love of mine!First of all it is opaque in two coats, it applies great, it is work appropriate and it is neutral with an interesting twist-small red flakes!I wear this polish everytime I feel like I don't know which polish to pick from all the stugg I got! You're a Doll is from the next year holiday collection and it has a little twin brother, Sheer your Toys-silver with red flakes again which I'll show you probably in my next post!

By the way I watrmark my pics lately(when I remember it lol) and I kind of like the way the pics look!

Today I received my Transdesign haul and girls that was fast for an international order, 4 or 5 days from the I ordered!I got many great polishes, some new basecoats(Essie-3 Way Glaze, CG-Calcium gel Fortifier) to try out and other nail stuff like OPI Avoplex Oil to Go, CND-Cuticle Eraser and Ez pro Flow Buffer!

I'm starting to think that people are crazy here in Greece, I wanted a pair of NYX eyelashes and there is only one store who has them here in Athens. I went there to check out what they have and you are never going to believe how much they cost in Greece, it's $24(16E) when on NYX site they only cost $4(2,66E), can you even believe it?????Can you believe the difference of the price??It's a hell lot of money, of course I didn't bought them and I never will. I'm not aware if NYX ships internationally but I'll certainly find a cheaper way to have a pair of them...

China Glaze - Cherish

I had the chance to review some of the polishes from China Glaze's core collection and Cherish was one of them!Cherish is from the China Glaze Romantique Collection from Spring 2009!All the polishes form that collection where metallic almost foil-y and from what I've read most of them were one coaters which is amazing I have to admit. I am very appreciative with those polishes which apply smooth and flawlessly in one or two coats.

Cherish is a metallic mint green, opaque in one coat but I did two because I had some brushstrokes. For you Konad maniacs this is a great colour to use for Konad since it is so pigmented!

It certainly isn't my type of colour and finish, I'm more of a cream and shimmer girl but for all of you who like those type of finish you will love this collection, the formula is great!

This was a quick post because I'm having an italian lesson is ten minutes!! :)

Yves Saint Laurent - Stormy Grey

Hello ladies!

I've promised myself not to buy another polish until my Transdesign order was finally shipped to me but I could't resist the fact that this polish was a limited edition lemming of mine so just like that I killed my lemming byuing the last one on the Yves Saint Laurent counter! I can tell you this, they grey trend is not over yet...

This is my first YSL polish and I didn't know what to expect. Well this is what high end polishes should be like, take a look at the pics first!

So Stormy Grey is the best grey I have seen, it's dark enough to look good with my skintone and it has that almost invisible silver shimmer which makes it really interesting. I'm a grey sucker and I love almost all greys out there but the truth is that most of them look pretty flat on the nail and this one was a big surprise to me. Two coats are more that enough to have full coverage and the brush is amazing, I got flawless application with no clean up at all. It was the first time that I had the same mani for four or five days without changing it and without a single chip, just the normal tipwear!

My only serious complain is that it was expensive enough(almost $25) and the fact that the polish is only 0.33oz makes it seems even more expensive.

MAC-Seriously Hip and my new ring!!

I visited my local MAC today to check if th Style Black Collection was finally available, I needed Seriously Hip and Mac Ash Volcanic Ash Exfoliator, it seems that the collection launches the stores yesterday and today there wasn't even one of the Exfoliator, unbelievable!Thankfully I got the last bottle of Seriously Hip.

Ladies you seriously need Seriously Hip if you love dark olive greens!This is very close to China Glaze Wagon Trail but this one has some amazing golden flakes in it which makes it super unique! I actually think I like it even more than Wagon Trail because it is a litle bit more sparkly..Take a look at the pics and enlarge them if you want to see the flakes!!

I purchased this from Galibardy, a UK based online shop with some amazing jewellery, go check it out! I read about Galibardy on a fashion blog(I can't even remember which one it was) and I knew I had to have that ring. Prices are reasonable, they ship internationally and they have some amazing stuff there plus they have great customer service! Next order will be the following ring ...

Today I present you the most beautiful pink nail polish I own! Papa papa paparazzi(I bet Lady Gaga would like it too). I found this polish recently but I couldn't find any information about it, Chanel doesn't seem to carry it anymore and I only found one pic of it online, so I suppose I can't give you anything else but the gorgeous pics of it.

Be prepared to see a major break on my little finger, I'm really upset about this break because it was all my fault, anyways...Paparazzi is a light slightly peachy pink with silver shimmer, it applies great and I think it has the best brush of all the Chanels I have.

This is two coats! Isn't it lovely?I think it would make a great pedi too!

China Glaze-Who's Wearing What

Hello ladies!

I'm pretty excited today because I finally placed some orders I have planned(nail polish included of course) and I can't wait for them to come here(that might take a little long!). I also received a very generous gift from a friend of mine, my very own Louis Vuitton Neverfull Damier, I have the Neverfull with the LV logo and now I've completed my collection with the Damier! This bag is the best I've ever had, so comfortable, it goes with everything and is spacious enough to even go for vacations lol!

Anyways my NOTD is China Glaze's Who's Wearing What, a discontinued colour from the Creme Couture Collection! This is a gorgeous greyed out lilac which applied perfectly in two coats, I really like colours like this, I think they're edgy without being eye-cathcing. My only complain about this is that I feel that it never dries, all my attempts to keep this as a mani failed as I always smudge it for some reason, could it be because it is old, or is it just a bad formula I don't know.I also made a comparison with OPI-Done Out In Deco and they're very similar, Who's Wearing What is a little bit more gray than Done Out In Deco which is more vibrant.

OPI-Let Them Eat Cake Rice and some Chanel Jade news

Hello everyone!!

As you can see I'm lemming Chanel Jade so much lately, the more pics I see the more I like it so today I went on a Chanel counter to ask when this will come to our little country..Well the answer I got was NEVER, the lovely lady didn't even now the existence of a mint nail polish released from Chanel and she seemed surprised to hear that Chanel actually has a mint polish. Why oh why Chanel????I got pretty frustrated with those news I must say..

Anyways, today I have for you OPI's Let them Eat Cake Rice is from the Japanese collection released back in 2005. I love this shade, it is my favourite opaque nude nail polish and if it was opaque in two coats I could actually marry it lol!!This is 3 coats here, apliacation was good but not perfect, this one has a black label and the old OPI brush which unlike most of girls I don't like, Pro-Wide makes application soo easy for me.

I have to apologise in public to Marisa for not sending her package yet, I have it ready to be sent but I still haven't made it to go to the post office but I hope I will this week! Marisa send me some amazing colours and I have to thank her so much because I really loved them all. Now on with the pics..

Birthday NOTD!

Hello ladies!

Today I'm gonna show you one of the polishes I got for my birthday! I got Zoya Posh, Zoya Dovima, Illamasqua Hectic and Mac Beyond Jealous! My birthday on Friday but I didn't found the time to post about it and post my NOTD of my bday! Zoya Posh that is!

I could'n resist the matte awesomeness and I picked this one...My thoughts? There is a reason why they named them Zoya Matte Velvet, this polish applied like velvet and dried like velvet, it is absolutely amazing. I did 2 coats with Zoya basecoat and I needed no cleanup at all. I'm on the third day now and I have no chips just a little tipwear..All in all I'm in love with Posh and I'm gonna rock the matte trend all winter long :)

What I need to say about Zoya is that is extremely expensive here in Greece, for the little bottle of Zoya Remove I need about $25 and for a bottle of nail polish $16..Isn't it ridiculous???I mean why the *&%%$ it costs more that double price in Greece and in the US they have normal price??

OPI-Yoga-ta Get This Blue

Hello ladies!

Where have this blue been all my life???I didn't love it in the bottle but on the nail I was amazed!First of all it looks blue in almost every light, then the shimmer oh the shimmer...it has beautiful blue shimmer whick gives an extreme depth and sparkle to the base colour now I only wish it won't stain my nails as other blues I've tried( I hate it when it happens!)I used two coats here and it aplied great, it was a bit thick for my taste but I could use some thinner the next time!Enjoy...
